"Upon motion the recorder was instructed to take the matter up with the S.P.Co. [Southern Pacific Railway Company] in regard to opening up Pine street with Eplers addition on the East side."

"Under the heaeding of new business, the matter of defective sidewalks was brought up, and upon mutual agreement the council set as a time to go over the various walks, on Saturday the 3rd, at which time it would be dcided to what extent new walks, and other repairs should be made in putting the Town walks in good condition."

"Next in order was reading of Ordinance pertaining to Light Contract presented by F.J.Epler at meeting of Oct.21st, this ordinance bearing a clause covering a period of ten years lighting the Town of Sherwood Oreg. "Upon reading of the ordinance for the third and last time, it was passed up to a vote of th Council which resulted as follows: Roellick Yes; Edward Yes; J.C.Smock Yes. "The matter of light after midnight on special occasions came up, and it was ordered upon vote of the Council that the Recorder be instructed to issue permits to all those who were desires of using the Town lights after midnight, provided that said partis assume all liabilities and pay Mr. Epler for all current used said during said time." |
